Weekly Round Up May 22nd
FOODIE:
Smokey Breakfast Pizza? Absolutely. This recipe is a quick yummy dish — perfect for Labor Day weekend! Adding the ingredients to our list for the lake next weekend.
AT HOME:
As you know from past posts, I love my tea and hot lemon water. Someone turned me onto this Bodum Electric Tea Kettle a couple of years ago, and today I use it almost twice every day. I have also bought it for gifts because it feels so luxurious and is at a great price point. Looks excellent on the kitchen counter too.
BUSINESS:
As business is picking up, that “pandemic” to-do list likely still lingers a bit. At the top of your list should be doing a personal brand audit. You have one chance to make a first impression with your ideal client and ensure you are positioned to gain the trust and excitement of you being the perfect business for them is critical. Download my free Self Audit Guide here, or check out my professional brand audit services and I can provide you a list of priorities to reach your client goals.
BOOKS:
One of my favorite books on my office bookshelf is The Secret Lives of Color. It is a book full of unknown history of color and the vivid stories behind 75 colors and how they found their names. 90% of snap judgments are based on color alone, and these stories help share why we have subliminal preferences and how color impacts culture subliminally. Such a fun reference book!
TRAVEL:
This week I am headed to Chicago for a walkthrough and planning trip for the upcoming Wedding Pro COR in September where I will be teaching and also leading the visual branding for the event. This will be a quick trip for me so I’m all about the basics. One thing I love is these squeezable travel bottles on Amazon. They take up no space at all for my carry-on lifestyle and traveling with my favorite things from home is a necessity.
