Weekly Round Up Aug 14th
FOODIE:
During my Boundaries Are Your Brand Challenge 2 weeks ago, my husband pulled off this amazing new Bon Appetite Tumeric & Dill Fish Taco and OMG. It’s my new favorite. I have made it several times already — including for family this week in LA.
AT HOME:
Nothing like sleeping in your own bed! I just had a conversation with a friend about pillows and sheets and what a luxury it feels like to make home feel like a 5-star hotel. If you haven’t tried Bamboo sheets, I highly recommend them. They are affordable, buttery soft and easy year around. These are the ones I have in my bedrooms at home. Also if you can believe it, Amazon also has the best pillows. Fun tip for a guest room, add varying firmness options so your guests can choose - plus makes the bed look so styled!
BOOKS:
Haven’t had much time to read the last few weeks but I wanted to share a podcast episode that moved me. I just walked alongside the death of my aunt who experienced a 110 day battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I had the opportunity to spend time at her bedside the last couple months. Walking along someone who is making their transition in this life really helps you put into perspective the “legacy” you want to leave on the earth as well as the way you want to find closure yourself. I found this podcast by Glennon Doyle and Alua Arthur, “How to Live So we Can Die Peacefully” - Alua shares her experience as a death doula, which is a really eye opening dialog for taking control of the life we want to live.
BEAUTY:
This sun loving gal got word of this Malibu based body oil and I am obsessed. I try to do natural, toxic-free products and a recent recommendation of Osea Alge Body Oil is just the perfect thing to add to my routine. Its’ mild in fragrance for any gender and is non-greasy and fast absorbing. If you add it to your nighttime routine, or buy it as a gift, these favorite unisex cotton robes would make the perfect pairing too!
BUSINESS:
As we look ahead to the second half of the year I have two recommendations for you:
Push the reset and join me in Chicago next month, along with other nationwide event pros in Chicago for Wedding Pro COR. You can save 20% on the $199 ticket with code Kaleigh20. Education is top notch and the networking could change your life. Event is September 13th and 14th. Is it worth it? Hit reply and let me know your questions!
Second thing -- for all my small business owners who are looking to grow your team and scale your business this next week — I highly recommend The Abundance Group’s “Building Your Team Course”. Ashley the educator was a recent guest in my private membership Brand Magic Society and the information was so actionable and gave so many the confidence to take the step in growing their team. This opportunity ends Wednesday AM, secure a spot today.
